Independent Survey Institute: Anies-AHY Wins In 2024 Presidential Election Simulation

JAKARTA - The Independent Survey Institute released the results of the latest survey showing the pair Anies Baswedan and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyomo (AHY) winning in three simulations of the 2024 presidential election as presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"The Anies-AHY pair simulation survey has a stronger electability than other pairs. This happens in various simulations of pairs, both simulations of four pairs, three pairs, or two pairs," said Research Director of the Independent Survey Institute Fathur Rahman in a written statement quoted by ANTARA. , Monday, August 22.

In the simulation of four pairs of candidates, said Fathur, Anies-AHY won the highest electability rate of 28.3 percent.

Furthermore, the second place was won by Ganjar Pranowo-Erick Thohir with 19.6 percent, Prabowo Subianto-Muhaimin Iskandar in third with 16.2 percent, and Puan Maharani-Andika Perkasa in fourth with 13.6 percent.

"As many as 22.3 percent (respondents) have not made a choice or did not answer," he continued.

Furthermore, in the simulation of three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates, Anies-AHY still has the advantage with an electability of 35.9 percent; while in second place were Prabowo Subianto-Puan Maharani with 27.6 percent, and Ganjar Pranowo-Erick Thohir with 16.4 percent.

"As many as 20.1 percent (respondents) have not made a choice," he said.

Meanwhile, in the simulation of two pairs, Anies-AHY won 39.8 percent and was ahead of Prabowo Subianto-Puan Maharani who got 31.4 percent.

"As many as 28.8 percent of respondents have not made a choice," he said.

The Independent Survey Institute survey was conducted on August 8-20 2022, involving 1,500 Indonesian citizens (WNI) respondents who have the right to vote in 34 provinces. The survey method was conducted by interviewing through a cellular network with a margin of error of 3.05 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
