JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs and the Chairman of the National Police, Mahfud MD, refused to reveal the figure of the 3-star general who was about to resign in the case of Brigadier J. Mahfud's murder. , Monday, August 22. The meeting was related to the case of the premeditated murder of Brigadier J. Initially, a member of Commission III of the DPR from the PAN faction, Sarifuddin Sudding, asked about the identity of the commissioner general who intended to resign at the beginning of the murder case that dragged the name of the former Head of the Propam Police, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

Sudding also questioned what was the reason for wanting to resign. "The most important thing is the chairman, related to the three stars who resigned, related to this case," said Sudding. However, Mahfud immediately refused to answer Sudding's question. The former judge of the Constitutional Court emphasized that he would reveal if he was sued by the three-star general to court.

"Unless there are three stars who sued me in court. I feel that I have just sued, if this political forum cannot, I have the right to refuse to answer," he continued.

Not satisfied with Mahfud MD's statement, Sudding then fired back. Sudding assessed that Mahfud MD's statement had created a public perception that the internal police were not solid.

Mahfud MD said the name of the three-star general would only be disclosed to two figures, namely the head of state and the National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"I will explain it to two parties, one to the National Police Chief, the second to the President, no one can force me," Mahfud explained. "Like I said, there were people who committed adultery there, then I said the person, right, you can't," he continued.

Previously, Mahfud MD made a statement publicly that a 3-star general would resign if Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was not named a suspect in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier J. Mahfud MD when he was a guest star on a private television program in Indonesia on Sunday 14 August.
