Develop 4 Drug Cases, Criminal Investigation Police Finds 25 Hectares Of Cannabis Fields In Aceh

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Police found the existence of a 25-hectare marijuana field in the Lamteuba Village area, Seulimeum District, Aceh Besar District. The field is said to belong to the Aceh-Jakarta drug network.

"The development of these four cases resulted in the discovery of nine locations of marijuana fields, the source of the evidence confiscated by officers," said Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police's Criminal Investigation Department Brigadier General Krisno H. Siregar when confirmed, Thursday, August 18.

At least, there were nine points where the marijuana fields were found. Each has an area of 3 to 4 hectares.

Later, all marijuana trees planted in the field will be destroyed by a joint team of the National Police. It is certain, there will be nothing left so that it is not misused.

"Destroyed by a joint team from the Directorate of Drugs and Drugs at the Police Headquarters, the Aceh Police and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise by removing them and burning them," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the beginning of the revelation of the existence of the marijuana field, Krisno said, it was based on the development of four drug cases.

At that time, the police thwarted an attempt to smuggle marijuana in several areas, including, on Jalan Pelabuhan Bakauheni, South Lampung; Indah 4 artificial park complex, Cakung, East Jakarta.

Then, the entrance area to Bakauheni Port, and Soekarno Hatta Highway, Lam Ara Village, Banda Aceh City.

In the disclosure, 13 people were named as suspects. They have the initials DS, SY, EF, RA, DA, IH, CT, KF, AF, MS, JA, AI, and SS. However, there is one perpetrator who is included in the People's Wanted List (DPO) with the initials H alias IK.

"The modus operandi is to use courier services to send and or distribute marijuana-type narcotics by land from Aceh to Jakarta and West Java," Krisno said.

Meanwhile, the suspect was charged with Article 111, 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) and (2) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp. 10 billion.
