Peruvian WN Woman Drug Prisoner Arrested At Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport Dies After Taking Drugs

DENPASAR - A Peruvian woman with the initials VVRDP (32), a suspect in a narcotics case, died at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar, Bali.

"The Bali Police's suspected drug abuser has died at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar," said Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police Kombes Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, Wednesday, August 17.

This Peruvian citizen came to Bali on Saturday, August 6th. At that time he was arrested after being suspected by Ngurah Rai Airport Customs and Excise officers

In his luggage, there were narcotics including marijuana weighing 231.65 grams. This Peruvian citizen was also sent to the Bali Police Narcotics Directorate for legal proceedings.

Furthermore, this Peruvian citizen is known to have taken the drug on Monday, August 8th. This Peruvian citizen then had a stomachache and vomited repeatedly.

The prison guard took the suspect in the drug case to Bhayangkara Hospital. Due to the unstable condition, this Peruvian citizen was referred to Sanglah Hospital. In intensive care, this woman died.

"The cause of death is a complete malfunction of the body that causes impaired kidney function and impaired liver and nervous system function to the patient's brain," said Bayu.
