JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) found as many as 275 names and NIK of election organizers (supervisors) who were included in the membership and management of political parties (parpol) in Sipol.

"Until the 14th day of the political party registration stage and the 13th day of the vermin (administrative verification) stage, there are at least 275 names of election organizers registered in the membership and management of political parties," said Bawaslu Chairperson Rahmat Bagja at a press conference "Results of Supervision of Political Party Registration Stages Candidates for the 2024 General Election", in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 15.

Based on these findings, he continued, Bawaslu encouraged the KPU to immediately follow up on the profiteering of names and NIKs in accordance with the mechanism established by the KPU in KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 4 of 2022.

Meanwhile, Bawaslu member Puadi said that Bawaslu had asked the commissioners or their staff who had their names changed and their NIK to submit their objections to the relevant political parties that used their names.

"That step was first, because if he doesn't do it, this objection is included in the ethical aspect. That is, how can the election organizer enter the room as a member or administrator of a political party," said Puadi.

If the political party concerned does not release the names of the Bawaslu parties that are taken from the membership or management of their political parties that are uploaded to Sipol, he continued, then Bawaslu recommends the commissioners or their staff to forward the objections to the police because the act of profiteering is a general crime.

Meanwhile, based on Bawaslu supervision, the classification of election supervisors whose names and NIK are listed as members or administrators of political parties consists of 216 staff, 31 members, 16 supporters, 5 Bawaslu heads, 3 treasurers, 2 subdivision heads, 1 secretariat coordinator, and 1 member of the election supervisory committee (panwaslih).
