Everything Tebet Eco Park Is Back Opening Today

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has re-opened the Tebet Eco Park area today, Monday 15 August. This green open space (RTH) has been closed for two months since June 15 due to chaos.

The number of visitors, street vendors selling on the sidewalk to the front of the surrounding housing estate, and the rampant illegal parking, which residents even protested, have caused the DKI Provincial Government to fix this area.

In the opening of this kai, there are restrictions for visitors who enter the green space area. Seen in the tebetecopark Instagram account, the public must first schedule their visit through the JAKI application which can be downloaded on their respective cellphones.

The public is provided with two choices of visiting times, namely in the first session from 07.00 to 11.00 WIB and the second session from 13.00 to 17.00 WIB.

As an improvement from the previous chaotic condition, the manager limits the number of visitors to Tebet Eco Park every day.

The capacity of visitors from Monday to Friday is limited to 4,000 people. While on Saturday and Sunday limited to 5,000 people.

To avoid chaotic conditions like some time ago, the DKI Provincial Government has also prepared land for street vendors to sell.

The Head of Tebet Sub-district, Dyan Airlangga, said that the PKL area would be placed in the Harum Flats, Tebet. This area is about 300 meters from the Tebet Eco Park area itself.

"There is a shelter for MSME traders next to the Harum Flat, we will also prepare it. The location is outside the Tebet Eco Park. This is so that there are no more street vendors selling around the Eco Park," Dyan said when contacted, Sunday, August 14.

Dyan said that the capacity for street vendors was prepared to accommodate 50 traders. Traders who will sell there have also been recorded by the DKI Provincial Government.

"So, only traders around Tebet Eco Park who have been selling around there for a long time, as well as some traders on the outskirts of Tebet Eco Park, we put all of them into the location," he said.

Therefore, Dyan emphasized that there should be no more street vendors selling on the sidewalk to the front of the residential area of residents around Tebet Eco Park.

"Clear, when operational, there are no longer street vendors selling around the Tebet Eco Park. If someone is stubborn, it's the task of Satpol PP (to bring order)," he said.

In addition, there are a number of new facilities available at Tebet Eco Park, including a water playground, barberque area, and a pet park as a pet area.

As is known, Tebet Eco Park will be used as a low emission zone (LEZ). When the park is re-opened, private motorized vehicles are prohibited from crossing the area around Tebet Eco Park.

However, the ban on crossing is exempted from public transportation, motorized vehicles belonging to local residents, to non-motorized vehicles such as bicycles.

The DKI Provincial Government has prepared five parking locations for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. The location is in Sarana Jaya Land, SMPN 73 Jakarta, Graha Pratama building, Wisma Pede building, and Gas Station Gas Station 31-128.
