In Addition To Being An Educational Facility, 1,400 Mosques In Central Lombok Are Being Managed As Legal Entities And Accept Government Aid Disbursement

CENTRAL LOMBOK - The Central Lombok Regency Government noted that 1,400 places of worship or mosques in its area had a notarial deed made of the foundation.

Besides being able to be a means of education, social and religious, making the mosque a legal entity, it is possible to get assistance from the government because it is in accordance with the rules. Incoming aid is usually given to foundations in mosques

"Out of 1,600 mosques, 1,400 mosques have received certificates," said Head of the Welfare Section of the Central Lombok Regional Secretariat, H Lalu Moh Hilim in Praya, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Thursday, August 11.

He continued, there are around 200 mosques that do not yet have a deed. That's because, he said, the average mosque was just established.

"In 2021 we will complete around 900 mosques and in 2022 around 165 mosques. Of the remaining 1,600 mosques, only about 200 mosques have no certificates," he said, according to Antara.

He has also suggested that mosques that do not have a notarial deed of this foundation can propose to the government, because the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) has also prepared for convenience in terms of developing places of worship.

"So this notary deed is an administrative requirement as well as an effort by the government to record the number of places of worship. The ministry also actually has a mosque registration number and if there is a deed, it will be registered in the Mosque Information System (Simas)," he said.

He said that when a mosque has a legal entity, its presence and management are properly recorded in the area. With good data, he said, the government's attention could be maximized in empowering mosque administrators.

“On the one hand, with the notarial deed owned by the mosque, the community does not compete in creating a foundation. But the community can use the mosque to be able to provide guidance to the community through the mosque institution. So the central community activities can be carried out in the mosque, not only praying," he explained.

The local government has designed various community activities, including the provision of mosque-based assistance. So with this system, the mosque can live not only during prayer, but at other times it can also take advantage of the mosque.

"So in the future mosques can become educational, social and religious facilities so that the program for making this notarial deed must still be carried out so that all mosques are properly registered," he concluded.
