SERANG - A robbery took place at a mobile phone shop in Tambak Market, Kibin District, Serang Regency. The one perpetrator carried out the action by carrying a sharp weapon, a machete, Saturday, August 6, at around 22.30 WIB, when the shop was closed.

Serang Police Chief AKBP Yudha Satria said the perpetrator acted when the employees returned home. Carrying a machete, the perpetrator's face was also covered by a face covering. The perpetrator, continued Yudha, immediately barged into the shop through the back door.

"The perpetrator entered and immediately pointed a machete at the victim. The perpetrator then took out the plastic so that the victim put the cellphone and money into the plastic," said Yudha in a written statement, Wednesday, August 10.

The shop owner NH (41) was unable to resist because of the threat of sharp weapons. The victim surrendered to the perpetrator's wishes and put Rp100 million in a plastic bag.

"The perpetrator also asked the victim to take the cellphone that was in the shop but all the cellphones had been put in the safe. The perpetrator only got the money and then left the store and locked the victim from outside," explained Yudha Satria.

After receiving the report, the Resmob Team immediately conducted a crime scene investigation. Armed with CCTV camera footage, the Resmob Team led by Ipda Iwan Rudini began an investigation and succeeded in identifying the perpetrators.

"After knowing the identity of the perpetrator, the team immediately moved and succeeded in arresting the perpetrator at his workplace. From the results of the search, the officers secured a number of evidences," said Yudha.

Yudha revealed that the perpetrator with the initials IB (29), worked as a security guard at a factory in the Jababeka Industrial Estate, South Cikarang. The perpetrators are residents of Sukarukun Village, Sukatani District, Bekasi Regency. He was arrested at work on Tuesday, August 9th.

The stolen money, said Yudha, amounted to Rp. 100 million and was used to buy gold rings and pay off debts. The money is also used to buy cellphones and motorbikes for work purposes, the rest is for daily needs.

The evidence that was successfully secured included 1 Honda Vario unit, 2 gold rings, 2 mobile phones and a number of tools used to rob.
