Commission III Of The DPR Supports The Seriousness Of The National Police Chief To Completely Solve The Murder Case Of Brigadier J

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives Commission III Eva Yuliana appreciates the steps taken by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo who immediately announced the former Head of the Propam Police Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo as a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J. Allegedly, Ferdy Sambo was the mastermind behind the premeditated murder at his shelter in Jakarta July 8th.

According to Eva, the Police have handled the case firmly, objectively and indiscriminately. In fact, the National Police Chief has transferred 15 officers following the death of Brigadier J.

"A top leader of the National Police wants to step down and directly oversee this case, so that the team that was formed works quickly and decisively," Eva told reporters, Wednesday, August 10.

The NasDem politician assessed that the steps taken by the National Police Chief showed the firmness and seriousness of the National Police institution. For example, forming a special team to handle the case of Brigadier J, and involving external institutions such as Komnas HAM to be involved in handling the case.

"Deactivating the persons suspected of being involved, transferring those proven to be obstruction of justice, detaining, and finally announcing the main suspects in this case themselves," explained Eva.

"We convey our gratitude to the National Police Chief, General Sigit, who is able to maintain the dignity of the Police in investigating this case," continued the Legislator for the Central Java electoral district.

Therefore, Eva said Commission III of the DPR supports the Police in handling this case properly and thoroughly. He believes that the community must also guard the seriousness of the Police to enforce a fair law for the parties involved in this case.

"With the seriousness of the National Police Chief Sigit, I think we deserve to provide support to the Polri institution as a law enforcement agency capable of realizing a sense of justice," said Eva.

In the case of the shooting of Brigadier J, there were a total of 4 suspects, namely Bharada E, Brigadier RR, K and Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Ferdy Sambo allegedly gave orders related to the shooting of Brigadier J.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo allegedly used a firearm belonging to Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J to shoot at the wall several times. The shooting at the wall with Brigadier J's pistol was carried out to make it appear as if a shootout took place, aka a shootout, as reported earlier at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

"That there were no facts about shooting events as reported, I repeat, there were no facts about shooting incidents as reported earlier," said the National Police Chief in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 9.

The National Police's Bareskrim Team, according to the National Police Chief, found that what actually happened was the shooting of Brigadier J to death.

"What RE (Bharada E) did on the orders of brother FS (Ferdy Sambo)," said the National Police Chief.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo is suspected of fabricating the shooting case of Brigadier J by deliberately using Brigadier J's firearm to shoot at the wall.

“To make it look as if a gunfight had taken place, brother FS shot Brother J's gun against the wall multiple times to make it appear as if a shootout took place. Regarding whether FS ordered or was directly involved in the shooting, the team is currently investigating witnesses and related parties," said the National Police Chief.

As for the motive, the National Police Chief said that the witnesses' statements still needed to be explored.

"The motive or trigger for the shooting is currently being investigated for witnesses, including PC (Putri Candrawati)," said General Sigit.
