Still Busy In Communication With PAN-PPP, Airlangga Hartarto: Declaration Of KIB Presidential Candidate In Final Chapter

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party has officially registered as participants in the 2024 General Election to the Indonesian KPU. Golkar registration coincided with the two political parties that are members of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB), namely PAN and PPP.

In today's registration, Wednesday, August 10, Golkar chairman Airlangga Hartarto was present together with PAN chairman Zulkifli Hasan and PPP chairman Suharso Monoarfa at 10.10 WIB.

Airlangga said that today's registration began with a series of events that were jointly arranged by Golkar, PAN, and PPP. Because he said, KIB prioritizes togetherness.

"Secondly, Indonesia is big. Therefore, we cannot work alone, we must be able to work together, and we must inclusively organize this country. Of course, in the 2024 period we need more thoughts so that we are safe as a developed country," said Airlangga. at the KPU building, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 10.

Airlangga explained, KIB will push for the 2024 Election to become an election with a contest of ideas and ideas, both in the legislative and presidential elections.

"So KIB will push the politics of ideas forward. In other words, Pak Soeharso was a smart politician," he said.

The Coordinating Minister for the Economy then mentioned the further agenda of the KIB. However, he did not mention whether the event in Surabaya on August 14 will have a presidential election declaration or other things.

"Wait until the 14th (August) there will be a follow-up agenda in Surabaya related to what content will be brought by KIB," Airlangga continued.

Regarding the presidential candidate, Airlangga emphasized that communication at KIB consists of several chapters. So far, KIB has carried out the first chapter by declaring a coalition, then it will convey the coalition's vision and mission. Only after that, the final chapter is the announcement of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"So first I say that what was asked was that the next chapter was nearing the end, we will encourage the next chapter to be submitted above, at least Mr. Zul or Mr. Suharso," said Airlangga.

"Surabaya is chapter 2, chapter 2 is the vision and mission. (If) the declaration of the presidential candidate is the last chapter," he concluded.
