DPR Commission III: No Need To Push, Bareskrim Will Definitely Announce Ferdy Sambo's Motive For Killing Brigadier J

JAKARTA - Commission III of the House of Representatives appreciates the National Police who have named former Head of the Propam Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo (FS) as a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.

The determination of the suspect was announced directly by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and his ranks on Tuesday, August 9.

Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Adies Kadir, stated that his party always coordinates with the National Police Chief regarding the development of the shooting case that killed Brigadier J at the shelter of the Head of the Propam Police Division on July 8.

"What is certain is that we always coordinate with the Chief of Police, Kabareskrim, we always ask for developments. So we are waiting for the results of the investigation from Kabareskrim, Chief of Police," said Adies at the KPU Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 10.

The Golkar legislator assessed that so far the special team (timsus) formed by the National Police Chief had worked according to the president's instructions so that the handling of cases was carried out transparently, not covered up.

"While this is good, it is fast and the National Police Chief is in accordance with the president's instructions, the work is transparent," said Adies.

Although they have announced a new suspect in this case, the National Police has not yet explained the motive for the premeditated murder of Brigadier J. In this matter, Adies said, Commission III of the DPR does not need to encourage the Police to disclose it to the public.

Because, it is believed that the Bareskrim of the Police will announce when the case is clear. Bhayangkara Corps, said Adies, has its own rules in handling this case.

"There's no need to push it. Bareskrim will definitely announce it. There's no need to push them to have their SOPs," said Adies Kadir.

In the case of the shooting of Brigadier J, there were a total of 4 suspects, namely Bharada E, Brigadier RR, K and Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Ferdy Sambo allegedly gave orders related to the shooting of Brigadier J.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo allegedly used a firearm belonging to Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J to shoot at the wall several times. The shooting at the wall with Brigadier J's pistol was carried out to make it appear as if a shootout took place, aka a shootout, as reported earlier at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

"That there were no facts about shooting events as reported, I repeat, there were no facts about shooting incidents as reported earlier," said the National Police Chief in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 9.

The National Police's Bareskrim Team, according to the National Police Chief, found that what actually happened was the shooting of Brigadier J to death.

"What RE (Bharada E) did on the orders of brother FS (Ferdy Sambo)," said the National Police Chief.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo is suspected of fabricating the shooting case of Brigadier J by deliberately using Brigadier J's firearm to shoot at the wall.

“To make it look as if a gunfight had taken place, brother FS shot Brother J's gun against the wall several times to make it appear as if a shootout took place. Regarding whether FS ordered or was directly involved in the shooting, the team is currently investigating witnesses and related parties," said the National Police Chief.

As for the motive, the National Police Chief said that the witnesses' statements still needed to be explored.

"The motive or trigger for the shooting is currently being investigated for witnesses, including PC (Putri Candrawati)," said General Sigit.
