The Corpse Of A 1-year-old Baby Rots In A Rented Apartment In The Ciracas Area, The Police Chase The Victim's Parents

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the Ciracas Police is hunting for a parent who dumped a one-year-old baby in a rented house in RT 03/RW 07, Susukan Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, on Friday, August 5.

Ciracas Police Chief Kompol Jupriono confirmed the discovery of the baby. However, the whereabouts and identities of the victim's parents are still unknown.

"The bodies of children have been found. Their parents are still being searched," said Jupriono, quoting Antara, Monday, August 8.

Previously, residents in RT 03/07 Susukan Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta, were shocked by the discovery of the body of a one-year-old baby.

Head of RT 03/RW 07, Nimun said the baby boy's body was found in a damaged condition.

The discovery of the body began when local residents smelled an unpleasant odor from the rented house where the victim and her parents lived.

"Because we want to know the source of the smell, we as RT administrators dismantle the room," said Nimun.

Nimun thought the baby had died more than three days before being found. It is not known whether there were injuries or not on the victim's body.

"Don't disturb us, open the cloth because we are afraid that it will interfere with the police investigation. Immediately, we close the door and report asking for Binmaspol assistance," said Nimun.

He said that he did not have any identifying information from the parents of the baby who had just lived for two months in the rented house.

"We don't know the baby's parents yet, because when they entered the rental they only promised to give their ID cards. But until there was no problem at all," said Nimun.
