Persecuted, DILAN Supporters Report Another Paslon Team In The Makassar Pilkada To The Police

Support for candidate pair number 3 in the Makassar Pilkada, Deng Ical-Fadli Ananda (DILAN) who was persecuted

MAKASSAR - Sitti Roslina, a supporter of candidate pair 3 in the Makassar Pilkada, Syamsu Rizal-Fadli Ananda (DILAN), reported to the police for a case of abuse. Sitti admitted that he was tortured by other candidate pairs in the Makassar Pilkada.

DILAN Legal Team member, John Hardiansyah, emphasized that his party will continue to oversee the case. Moreover, the victim was the DILAN Coordinator for the Paccerakkang Village, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. The DILAN Legal Team urged the police to thoroughly investigate the case of the persecution of its supporters which was allegedly carried out by another candidate pair team.

"In connection with the case of the team or supporters of DILAN being mistreated by the DP team at the DP's villa in the Tokka area, Maros Regency, we ask the police to immediately take legal action without discrimination," John told reporters, Monday, November 16.

"Please immediately complete the investigation of this case, thuggery actions must be punished accordingly so that they do not repeat themselves. We from the DILAN Legal Team will continue to monitor and oversee the progress of this case to completion," continued John.

Police are asked to act professionally and indiscriminately in enforcing the law. According to John, all parties involved directly or indirectly must be examined and prosecuted if they are proven to have been involved in the thuggery.

John appreciated the responsive police in handling cases of persecution against DILAN supporters. It is known that the Maros Police have received a report from the victim and are now in the follow-up process.

The police expressed their readiness to investigate the case through the Notification Letter on the Progress of Research Reports signed on behalf of the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Maros Police, Iptu Rusly on Sunday, November 15.

The persecution incident took place in the vicinity of the meeting location for the RT Chairperson at the DP's villa located in Tokka Hamlet, Moncongloe District, Maros Regency, Saturday, November 14. The perpetrator dragged the victim up to 15 meters to the front of the toilet just to interrogate the IRT while taking video footage around the scene.

The victim, named Sitti Roslina, said that she came to the location with her child to escort her mother, Raja Lawang, who is the Chairman of RT BTN Manggatiga, Paccerakkang Village, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. The video recording she made at the location was to be sent to her husband who was in Palu, Central Sulawesi.
