KSP General Moeldoko Invites All Elements Of The Nation To Participate In Overcoming The Threat Of A World Food Crisis

JAKARTA - The Presidential Chief of Staff, General TNI (Ret.) Moeldoko invites all elements of the nation together to overcome the threat of food, energy, and global uncertainty that triggers the economic crisis.

He said this during the Dhikr Manaqib Akbar and Haul Syekh Abdul Qodir Al Jailani RA event, at the Al Baghdadi Islamic Boarding School, Karawang, West Java, West Java, Saturday night August 6, according to a press release received in Jakarta, Sunday.

"I invite all elements of the nation, especially the tens of thousands of worshipers who are present, to make efforts both physically and mentally in facing this tough test. I believe that prayer has tremendous power to generate hope and optimism", he said as quoted by Antara.

The 2013-2015 TNI Commander said that Indonesia was faced with abnormal conditions, in the midst of many countries facing an economic crisis that could have an impact on other crises.

Citing IMF data, he revealed, that there are at least 60 countries whose economies are expected to collapse, and 42 of them are confirmed to have collapsed.

"We must be grateful, Indonesia is still in good condition. Food and energy security are still maintained. The economy continues to grow even though inflation has risen to more than 4 percent. But we must also be vigilant", he said.

He stated that so far the government has worked hard so that the public is not burdened with rising commodity prices as a result of global uncertainty, such as the provision of subsidies for fuel and gas, the value of which reaches IDR 502 trillion.

"So, ladies and gentlemen who ride motorbikes, the state subsidizes IDR 3.7 million in one year. For those who ride cars, the state subsidizes IDR 19.2 million a year. For that, I beg you to be frugal in using fuel", he ordered.

At the end of his speech, he asked the congregation and other elements of society, to continue to cultivate a sense of love for the nation, and always be optimistic about looking at Indonesia in the future, namely towards an Advanced Indonesia in the year A2045.

"I want to instill a strong spirit. We must not be a weak and pessimistic nation. And I emphasize that the issue of defending the country is not only about taking up arms. But also guarding hearts and minds for the survival of this country", he explained.

After delivering his remarks, he and tens of thousands of worshipers were seen engrossed in prayer and dhikr, led by the caretaker of the Al Baghdadi KH Islamic Boarding School. Junaedi Al-Baghdadi.

This remembrance of Manaqib Akbar and Haul Sheikh Abdul Qodir Al Jailani RA was attended by more than 30 thousand worshipers who came from various cities and provinces.
