DPR Advises Anies To Ensure Legal Basis For Changes To 31 Hospital Names In Jakarta To Become Healthy Homes

JAKARTA - Member of Commission XI DPR RI Kamrussamad advised DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to ensure the legal basis for changing the names of 31 hospitals in Jakarta to become healthy homes, and the need to conduct socialization regarding the name change.

"As long as there is a legal basis, and does not conflict with the law, governor Anies can change the names of 31 Jakarta Regional Hospitals. This is because the naming of hospitals has been stated in Law Number 44 of 2009 concerning Hospitals and Governor Regulation 114/2021 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of Hospitals, ” said Kamrussamad in his statement, quoted from Antara, Saturday, August 6.

Therefore, Kamrussamad advised Anies to conduct socialization and education regarding the strategic objectives of the name change.

This statement from the member of the DPR RI for the Jakarta constituency is in response to the change in the names of 31 hospitals in Jakarta to become healthy homes.

According to him, apart from paying attention to the legal basis, socialization, education, and the purpose of the name change are also necessary.

"If the goal of re-branding is from hospitals to healthy homes so that people have a healthy mindset, I think they can use the Puskesmas or Community Health Centers," he said.

For Kamrussamad, Puskesmas that are already in the community can become a unit for improving public health literacy.

"In my opinion, this needs to be optimized before re-branding the hospital into a healthy home," he said.

However, Kamrussamad continued, if the hospital also wants to change its branding into a healthy home, then there are a number of points that should not be ignored, namely excellent service quality, human resources (HR) for health workers, the latest technological equipment, and digital service systems.

"All of this has to be proven, education is carried out, and there is an increase in Jakarta's public health literacy. This must also be strengthened," said Kamrussamad.

Based on previous reports, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurated the renaming of regional general hospitals (RSUD) in five areas of DKI Jakarta into healthy homes on Wednesday, August 3.
