Intention Of Brawl, Two Teenagers In Makasar Village, East Jakarta, Snatched Women's Cellphones To The Market

JAKARTA - The Makasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested 2 perpetrators of violent theft (Curas) that occurred on Jalan Work Bakti 1, RT 02/04, Makasar Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta.

The two suspects are known to have the initials MC (19) and AT alias Kate (23) residents of Kramat Jati. While the victim named Novi (35), a local resident.

Initially they intended to do a brawl. However, in the middle of the road using a motorbike, the suspect saw the victim walking towards the market while holding a cellphone. One of the perpetrators immediately pointed a sharp weapon at the victim and took the victim's cellphone.

After getting the loot, the two suspects. The victim screamed for help and gave chase, but the suspect managed to escape. The victim reported the incident to the Makassar Police.

After receiving the victim's report, the Makassar Police Criminal Investigation Unit pursued the two suspects.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Makassar Police, Iptu Mochammad Zen, said the case had gone viral on social media, so the identity of the perpetrators could be easily identified. Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit also gave chase and managed to catch a suspect with the initials MC at his home.

"The suspect MC was arrested without a fight, then secured to the Makassar Police for further investigation. Then, MC was developed and the suspect AT alias Kate was also arrested," said Iptu Moch Zen when confirmed by VOI, Friday, August 5.

The suspect AT alias Kate was arrested in the Jatiwaringin area, Pondok Gede without a fight. Furthermore, the suspect AT alias Kate was taken to the Makassar Police Headquarters.

"Both of them have been detained. The confiscated evidence are T-shirts, hoodie jacket shirts and cellphones. Both suspects are charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code," he said.
