Residents Of Rawa Bunga Suspect That There Is Someone Who Made PT KAI Not Carry Out The Demolition Of Mount Antang

JAKARTA - A number of residents of RW 01, Kelurahan Rawa Bunga, Jatinegara, East Jakarta questioned why the localization of prostitution and gambling in Gunung Antang had not yet been brought under control. In fact, the schedule for independent demolition has passed, namely August 2, last.

Because of this, residents suspect the interests of a few elements in the black valley area so that the demolition plan has not been implemented.

The head of RW 01, Rawa Bunga Village, Dwi Lestari, said that his party, representing the residents of RW 01, questioned the follow-up of PT KAI, which previously planned to carry out curbs but was never carried out for various reasons.

Dwi hopes that the relevant agencies will immediately enforce it in the near future.

"We ask the governor, the mayor of East Jakarta, the TNI and the National Police to help with the problems of our residents who reject the existence of the prostitution establishment," said Dwi when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, August 4, afternoon.

As is known, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) as the land owner has ensured that the independent demolition period of the illegal building of Mount Antang, Matraman, East Jakarta, has ended on Tuesday, August 2.

However, as of Thursday, August 4, the Gunung Antang prostitution site in East Jakarta was still operating. A number of dimly lit cafes and prostitution are still active at night.

Although PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has sent a letter of independent demolition until the deadline of Tuesday, August 2, but to this day no building in the Gunung Antang localization has been demolished by the owner.

According to Dwi, in the absence of firmness from PT KAI as the owner of the Gunung Antang localization land, local residents were disappointed because of the slow pace of enforcement. Residents suspect that behind the slow pace of PT KAI in handling Mount Antang, there are people playing

"Residents are certainly very disappointed with the lack of action from PT KAI as the land owner. This problem has dragged on for a long time, it seems like it is stalling for time. The incident from June 12 until now has been 2 months just a lure. what's behind Mount Antang?," said Dwi.

Dwi hopes that PT KAI will immediately take decisive steps by demolishing illegal buildings on Mount Antang, which often causes disturbances to Kamtibmas.

"(PT KAI) Immediately dismantle places of immoral gambling prostitution so that the surrounding environment such as Rawa Bunga, Matraman, Palmeriam, Pisangan and Bali Mester feel safe and comfortable," he hoped.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa, confirmed that the period of independent demolition of illegal buildings in the Gunung Antang area ended Tuesday, August 2 yesterday.

Previously, it was said that the residents of Gunung Antang agreed to carry out independent demolition during a socialization event at the Jatinegara District Office hall on Thursday, June 30.

PT KAI said it would re-coordinate with the East Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) and security forces to schedule enforcement activities in the Gunung Antang area.

"Currently KAI, the City Government and the authorities will hold a coordination and evaluation meeting, including determining the control schedule. We will inform you again later," he said.
