MEDAN - Students who are members of the North Sumatran Youth and Student Alliance demonstrated in front of the North Sumatra Police. The masses asked for the murder case of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J to be fully disclosed to the mastermind.

They carried a number of posters such as "Arrest Ferdy Sambo" as well as "Mr. President Jokowi Pay Attention to This Case,"

The demonstration did not last long. Because the students were met by representatives of the North Sumatra Police.

The Field Coordinator of the action, Rizky Yusuf Siregar, said that initially their demands were to ask President Jokowi to remove the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. However, after the determination of the suspect Bharada Richard Eliezer or Bharada E, their demands changed.

"We appreciate that the National Police Chief is why we change the issue, we urge the National Police Chief to immediately reveal the perpetrators in the future and what their motives are. And we are still monitoring and controlling this," said Rizky, Thursday, August 4.

But the students still considered that the legal process for the murder of Brigadier J was too late.

"However, it has been explained that it is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand, in the sense that the North Sumatra Police Dirintelkam conveys that the Police are with the people," he explained after meeting representatives of the North Sumatra Police.

Regarding the poster that reads 'arrest Ferdy Sambo', Rizky said it was based on the aspirations of the masses. It's still up to the investigative team to decide.

"Initially the issues, the assumptions that were built, only meant our aspirations. In terms of determining the future, right, there was a team formed from the National Police. That will determine who the next suspect will be," he said.

The masses also considered that the determination of one suspect in this case was not enough.

"Not yet (enough), in the sense that it is still being controlled (its development). We are still monitoring how future developments will be. In the sense that we have taken a step forward during the month we have been waiting for," continued Rizky.

What is Bharada E's motive?

Bharada Richard Eliezer or Bharada E as the suspect in the murder of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. The National Police's special team (Timsus) ensures that the handling of this case will continue with the examination of a number of witnesses.

But what was Bharada E's motive for killing Brigadier J? Police have not provided an explanation. Bharada E was charged with the suspicion of Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding murder in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.

This means that the case of Brigadier J's murder which occurred almost a month ago is not believed to have been carried out by Bharada E alone. It is suspected that there are other parties involved in this case that has drawn public attention.

"The investigation has not been completed, it is still under development," said the Director of General Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Andi Rian, Wednesday, August 3.

However, the Police emphasized that Bharada E was suspected of shooting not in a self-defense position. This statement also dismissed the police's initial suspicion of shooting each other at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's halfway house in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.

"Not self-defense," said Brigadier General Andi.

The determination of the suspect, Bharada E, who was said to have been detained immediately after being questioned at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, was announced after the investigation team held the case, Wednesday, August 3 night. There were 42 witnesses including experts and a series of pieces of evidence that directed the murder suspect to Bharada E, an aide to the inactive Propam Kadiv Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

"Including having confiscated evidence of communication equipment, CCTV, evidence at crime scenes that have been labforated and those that are currently undergoing laboratory examinations," he said.
