Police Arrest 5 Actors Of Appi-Rahman Makassar Pilkada Supporters Stabbing, One Dies Due To Sickness

JAKARTA - The police have arrested five perpetrators of stabbing MM supporters of the candidate pair for mayor-vice mayor of Makassar Munafri Arifuddin-Abdul Rahman Bando (Appi-Rahman). However, one of them died after being arrested.

"We managed to secure five suspects," said Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters, Friday, November 13.

The suspects arrested with the initials F, MNM, S, AP and S alias AR. They were arrested at different times and locations.

Suspect F and AP were arrested in the Meruya area, West Jakarta. Meanwhile the MNM suspect was arrested in Bogor Regency, West Java. Finally, S alias AR was arrested in Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Yusri said the suspect S alias AR died because of his illness. He died after undergoing treatment in the hospital.

"When we made the arrest, suspect S was indeed in a congenital condition, which we then referred to the hospital. The person concerned had shortness of breath and died in the hospital," he said.

Meanwhile, there are still two other suspects. Investigators are still hunting those whose whereabouts are known.

"There are still DPOs, two initials AR alias R who play a role in observing the situation and JH who is the executing jockey," he said.

MM was stabbed by an unknown person at a bus stop in the Palmerah area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, November 7. Currently the victim is undergoing treatment at Siloam Hospital, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.
