Sebangpol Gunungkidul Receives Registration For The Management Of 4 New Political Parties, There Is The Ummah Party And The Labor Party

JAKARTA - The National and Political Unity Agency (Kesabangpol) of Gunungkidul Regency has accepted the registration for the management structure of four new political parties as candidates for the 2024 General Election.

Head of the Gunungkidul Kesbangpol Johan Eko Sudarto, Monday, said that at the registration stage for the 2024 election contestants conducted by the KPU starting Monday, his party will open registration for new parties with the composition of the representative management in Gunungkidul.

"Until now, there are four new political parties that have registered their management structure with the Kesbangpol," said Johan in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), Monday, August 1.

The four new political parties are the Ummat Party, the Gelora Party, the People's Sovereignty Party, and the Labor Party.

"The Labor Party was the last to register, because the other three parties have registered their management since last year," he said, according to Antara.

He said that with the addition of the four new parties, a total of 21 political parties were registered in the Gunungkidul Kesbangpol.

"Most of them are old political parties, what is clear is that there are 21 new and old parties registered with Kesbangpol," he added.

He explained that the registration certificate was used as a tool to assist the verification process from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) regarding the structure of legal entities.

Meanwhile, in order to fulfill the requirements as a candidate to participate in the election, Kesbangpol fully delegates that authority to the KPU as the organizer through the stages that are prepared.

"Yes, if there are new parties who report, then we will serve," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of KPU Gunungkidul Regency Ahmadi Ruslan Hani said the 2024 election stage was still at the central level, namely the registration of political parties on August 1-14.

He said that the KPU in the regions would later follow a verification and validation process before the determination of the parties participating in the 2024 General Election.

"There are a number of conditions that must be met in order to participate in the election. So, later we will assist in field verification related to the management structure in the regions," he said.
