Patients Cured Of COVID-19 In Jakarta Reached 92.2 Percent

JAKARTA - The cure rate for COVID-19 patients was 92.2 percent of the total number of positive cases of 115,174.

Based on data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on the corona.jakarta.go.id page, Thursday, November 12, this achievement was due to the addition of 1,072 recovered patients, bringing the total to 106,189 people, an increase from the previous 105,117 people.

Of the total number of positive cases of 115,174 people, 6,571 people were still being treated / isolated, and 2,414 people died or 2.1 percent of the total positive cases.

The number is after an increase of 831 cases this Thursday. This amount is the result of a swab examination (PCR swab test) on Wednesday 11 November.

As of the last test on Wednesday, November 11, Antara quoted, there were 1,833,248 specimens that had been examined with the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test to find out traces of COVID-19 in five areas of DKI Jakarta through 58 laboratories.

From the number of tests above, DKI Jakarta recorded the percentage of positive cases based on the number of tests or the "positivity rate" for COVID-19 during the past week in Jakarta, which was recorded at 8.0 percent, down from the previous 8.5 percent.

This figure is still very far above the percentage limit set by the World Health Organization (WHO) in a week for a region, which requires no more than five percent to be categorized as a safe area.

The percentage of positive cases in Jakarta in total since the beginning of the March 2020 pandemic to date is 8.2 percent, down from 8.3 percent previously.
