Convoy Ends In Brawl In Central Jakarta, 1 Student Experiences Stab Wound In Hand

JAKARTA - A student with the initials NR (17) suffered a torn wound due to a sharp weapon in his hand.

NR was hacked by a sharp weapon by an opposing group during a brawl on Jalan Letjend Suprapto, Bungur Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta.

As a result of the sharp weapon, the victim's hand was almost severed.

Until now, NR is still undergoing intensive treatment at the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Senen Police, AKP Ganang Agung, said that his party had arrested four students involved in the brawl.

"We have secured EH (16), OR (16), AA (16) and YD (16). All of the students are grade 2 high school students," said AKP Ganang when confirmed, Saturday, July 30.

Furthermore, AKP Ganang stated that the stab wounds found by NR were quite severe.

Until now, members are still looking for the weapons used by the perpetrators in the brawl.

"This confession to us, the students did not slash the victim, but only hit the bag. But we are still investigating the case of this brawl," he said.

He continued, the students who were detained were students from the North Jakarta area.

They deliberately came to the Central Jakarta area to look for opponents.

"This Central Jakarta student victim took part in the brawl. Currently, he is still undergoing treatment at the Islamic Hospital, Cempaka Putih," he said.

The arrested perpetrators are already languishing in the Senen Police Station. They are threatened with Article 351 of the Criminal Code with a prison sentence of more than 5 years.

"Currently, all of them are still witnesses in the brawl incident," he said.
