East Java And East Kalimantan Provincial Governments Establish Trade And Investment Mission Cooperation

SAMARINDA - The Provincial Government of East Java (Jatim) and the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan (Kaltim) have established trade cooperation through trade and investment missions.

Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan Hadi Mulyadi when receiving the East Java Province Trade and Investment Mission in Samarinda, stated East Kalimantan's readiness to increase trade cooperation with other regions, including East Java Province.

"We are ready to cooperate with East Java Province in the fields of trade and investment that are mutually beneficial," said Hadi Mulyadi, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 29.

The trade cooperation between East Kalimantan and East Java, according to Had, has actually existed for quite a long time. The trade and investment mission that is currently being carried out is one of the efforts to further enhance the cooperation that has been established previously.

"Hopefully with this trade mission, our cooperation will increase and of course have a positive impact on the economy of East Kalimantan and East Java," said Deputy Governor Hadi.

Meanwhile, East Java Deputy Governor Emil Elestianto Dardak said the cooperation through East Java trade and investment missions to East Kalimantan Province was the largest group of trade missions from previous trade missions to other regions.

"I thank you for the extraordinary welcome from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government," said Emil.

Emil described the various commodities offered in the trade mission to East Kalimantan, including MSME products, milk, agricultural products, such as rice, cavendis bananas as well as cloves and coffee.

"Alhamdulillah, based on reports up to this afternoon, the transaction value has reached Rp75 billion," said Emil.

In addition to the trade mission, on that occasion a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed between the Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) of the Provinces of East Java and East Kalimantan. The cooperation is related to the duties and functions of each OPD.
