Two JICT Officials Have Been Questioned By The AGO Regarding Allegations Of Corruption By Pelindo II

JAKARTA - Junior Attorney General Investigators for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) is investigating two officials of PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) regarding the process of investigating cases of alleged corruption extending the use of ports.

Head of the AGO Legal Information Center, Hari Setiyono, said that the two people being questioned were the chairperson and deputy of the 2013 Partnership Proposal Evaluation and Negotiation Team with PT JICT. They were questioned on Wednesday, November 11.

"Investigators examined Rati Farini (Deputy) and Sugeng Mulyadi (Chairman)," Hari told reporters in his statement, Thursday, November 12.

The examination was carried out because the investigator thought that the statements of the two could make light of the case. Especially in finding suspects in the alleged corruption case.

"The examination of the witnesses was carried out in order to find and collect evidence which with this evidence shed light on the criminal act that occurred and to find the suspect," he said.

Previously, the AGO said that the alleged corruption of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) II was related to the arrangement for the extension of the dock lease.

"So with regard to port management by JICT, which allegedly expired, then it is suspected that there was an act against the law," Head of the Legal Information Center of the AGO, Hari Setiyono, told reporters, Monday, October 26.

The arrangement for the extension of the management period is suspected of being corrupt. Management extension occurred in 2015.

"It is suspected that the operation against JICT has expired in 2015," said Hari.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the alleged corruption is based on Investigation Order Number: Print-54 / F.2 / Fd.1 / 09/2020.
