Lying Covered In Blood Without Clothes, Motorbike Thief In Ciledug Is Critically Beaten By Mobs

TANGERANG – A motorcycle thief in Lembang Market, Jalan Raden Fatah, Ciledug, Tangerang is in critical condition after being beaten by a mob, Wednesday, July 27, at 16.00 WIB. The perpetrator was stripped of his clothes and lay covered in blood on the street.

Ciledug Police Chief Kompol Noor Maghantara confirmed the incident.

"(One thief-red) Critical condition, referred to Police Hospital," said Noor via text message to VOI, Wednesday, July 27.

According to Noor, at first the victim, with the initials AS, parked his motorbike next to his merchandise cart. He wanted to meet his friend on Jalan Raden Fatah.

“The perpetrator approached the motorcycle and the victim saw the perpetrator fiddling with the handlebars of the victim's motorcycle. The victim then approached his motorcycle. And the perpetrator took the motorbike 20 meters away," explained Noor.

The victim with the initials AS tried to chase the perpetrator along with local residents at the location. Until finally caught, the perpetrator was judged by local residents.

"So the residents chased the perpetrators until they were finally arrested and beaten by the surrounding crowd, battered," he said.

Even though he was in critical condition, the police immediately took the suspect to the hospital. There were serious injuries all over the victim's body.

Although currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, the perpetrator was named a suspect. He suspected that the perpetrators numbered more than one person.

“(Actor-ed) More than one. The identity of the perpetrator is still unknown, because it is still being treated," he concluded.
