TEGAL - Central Java (Central Java) Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi said, IS (34), killed Kholidatunn'imah (24) a resident of Tegal Regency, in a vicious manner.

He explained that the chronology of the killings began when IS was involved in a dispute with Kholidatunn'imah at his boarding house on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta, Semarang Regency, on July 16, 2022.

As for the relationship between the two, the suspect is the perpetrator of sexual abuse against the victim in 2015 and who has served a prison sentence of six years. After being released, IS then looked for victims who are currently working at the PT Wory convection factory, in Semarang Regency.

Luthfi explained that IS, who was emotional about the victim's words, then strangled him to death.

The alleged perpetrator panicked, he continued, then decided to mutilate the victim. "The dismemberment of the victim's body was carried out in the bathroom of the boarding house within a few days," he said, according to Antara.

In addition, the victim's body parts were disposed of in a number of different locations, namely around the Klero River, around the factory on Jalan Sokarno Hatta, and in the river next to Cimory Restaurant, Semarang Regency.

He explained that the victim's body parts were first discovered by residents around the Klero River flow, East Ungaran, Semarang Regency, on July 24, 2022.

From the results of the examination at the location of the discovery, he continued, officers found an ATM card which was the starting point for revealing the identity of the victim. Meanwhile, the suspect himself was arrested in Purworejo while traveling by train.

Previously, human remains were found by residents around the Kretek River in Kalongan Village, East Ungaran District, Semarang Regency, Sunday, July 24.

While other body parts were found, including a head, found about 11 km from the point of the first discovery. The body parts found included two hands, one each right and left, as well as pieces of bone.

Police said the human body fragments were suspected to be victims of mutilation.
