JAKARTA - The West Jakarta City Government has explained the mechanism for revocation of the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) for students involved in brawls in the area.
"The revocation of the KJP has been regulated in a governor's regulation or governor's regulation," said Head of the West Jakarta II Education Agency, Junaedi, quoting Antara, Tuesday, July 26.
Junaedi explained that the regulation is stated in the Governor's Regulation Number 110 of 2021 concerning Educational Social Assistance.
In the governor's regulation, it is stated that every student involved in a brawl will receive a penalty of revocation of the KJP facility.
The process of revoking the KJP started with a police report to the school that several students were involved in a brawl.
The report is received by the school and submitted to the Education Operational and Personal Funding Service Center (P4OP) as the party that manages the KJP.
"After that, P4OP will carry out the termination process," said Junaedi.
He admitted that there were no public school students in the area who had received the sentence of revocation of the KJP.
However, Junaedi along with other ranks from the Police level and related service units continue to increase the socialization of the dangers of brawls to every school.
He also hopes that the revocation of the KJP can be a deterrent effect for students not to do brawls.
Previously, several brawl events had occurred in the West Jakarta area. One of the most recent was the brawl in Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Tuesday, July 19, in the afternoon.
The brawl involved three schools located in West Jakarta (Jakbar) and Central Jakarta (Jakbar). As a result of this incident, one student with the initials AIS (16) died due to a sharp weapon wound.
A total of 22 students, including three victim executioners, were named suspects by the Taman Sari Metro Police.
