JAKARTA - The Tanjung Priok Port Police has denied that one of the two suspected rapists of a young girl on a boat docked at Kaliadem pier, Muara Angke Port, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, is a civil servant (PNS).
Head of the Tanjung Priok Port Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Adjunct Commissioner of Police Sang Ngurah Wiratama, said the alleged rapist with the initials JP (22) worked as a cleaning officer for the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service.
"Yes, the janitor at the Environmental Service. Not a civil servant, honorary. He is 22 years old," said Wiratama when confirmed in Jakarta, Monday.
Previously on Wednesday, July 20, the two perpetrators who were arrested were JP (22) and SS (30).

After being persuaded by the words of the two perpetrators, the victim finally complied when he was invited to the ship so that finally the coercion occurred.
After the incident, the victim immediately went home and reported to her parents.
"Hearing the victim's confession, the parents immediately reported it to the Sunda Kelapa Regional Police," said Kholis.
Receiving the report, the Sunda Kelapa Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately secured JP and SS who were still around the scene.
