Being A Hypnotic Victim, 78 Year Old Elderly In Koja Loses A 20 Gram Gold Bracelet

JAKARTA - An elderly woman in Koja, North Jakarta, became a victim of hypnosis by two unidentified men. The losses suffered by the victims reached millions in the form of gold bracelets weighing 20 grams.

Koja Police Chief Kompol Mulyana said the incident experienced by HU (78) occurred on Jalan Melur Tugu Utara, Koja, North Jakarta, Friday, July 23.

Mulyana also said that until now his party had examined 3 witnesses to uncover the case.

"We are the police who picked up the ball and went to the victim's house, considering that the victim is 78 years old. The BAP was at the victim's house on Sunday. After that, three witnesses have also been examined," said Mulyana when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 25.

Mulyana explained that the incident occurred when the victim was sitting in front of his house, on Jalan Melur, North Tugu. Suddenly, continued Mulyana, two men approached him to ask for the address.

"The perpetrator was wearing a cap and spoke Padang language with the victim. The victim was persuaded to come along, but the victim tried to refuse. The perpetrator kept persuading him, in the end the victim was persuaded and asked to get into the car," he explained.

Based on the testimony of witnesses who have been examined, while in the car the victim took out many envelopes. And at that time the perpetrator asked for the victim's gold bracelet.

"The victim let the perpetrator take off the gold bracelet he was wearing in his hand. And at that time the perpetrators joked with the victim. Immediately the car turned back to its original place. After the victim was lowered, the perpetrators immediately left. Not long after, the victim realized that the gold bracelet was taken by the perpetrator. ," he continued.

The victim reported the incident to the police.

"Currently an investigation. Our efforts to uncover by checking the license plate of the vehicle used by the perpetrator, and trying to confiscate the CCTV footage," he concluded.
