National Human Rights Commission: Information From The National Police Health Center Regarding The Death Of Brigadier J Is Comprehensive

JAKARTA - National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) said that the explanation given by the National Police Medical and Health Center (Pusdokkes) to the agency regarding the death of Brigadier J was comprehensive.

"We feel that the information from the National Police Health Center Team is very comprehensive and later we will process or combine the results, 'cross-check' the analysis with the results we got previously," said Komnas HAM chairman, Ahmad Taufan Damanik, in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 25.

This information will be combined with information obtained by Komnas HAM from the family of Brigadier J and an expert invited by Komnas HAM as a companion in investigating the case.

This, said Taufan, will make it easier for Komnas HAM to make conclusions, including issuing recommendations.

Taufan ensured that if Komnas HAM needed data, information, or other information, it was possible to re-coordinate with the National Police.

Moreover, from the beginning, the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, emphasized that he would be transparent and open the widest possible space to Komnas HAM in assisting the police in uncovering the case that killed Brigadier J.

In addition, he said, since the beginning of the involvement of Komnas HAM, the institution has proposed requirements for transparency and accountability by the National Police.

"It was assured to us that it would be fulfilled and of course, accountability and transparency were accompanied by accessibility," he said.

Previously, the Inspector of General Supervision (Irwasum) of the National Police, Commissioner Agung Budi Maryoto, together with the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters, Dedy Prasetyo, and the Forensic Team came to Komnas HAM to provide the information needed by Komnas HAM.

The team led by Irwasum Polri came and gave information to Komnas HAM at around 13.00 WIB and finished around 15.30 WIB.
