TANGERANG - Police arrested six robbers who often act in the jurisdiction of the Tangerang City Police Metro. The perpetrators with the initials FE (20) PA (19), FH (16), AF (15), MA (16) and BE (16), are known as sadistic robbers who often injure their victims.

The Head of the Tangetang City Metro Police, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho, said that the perpetrators often carried out their actions in the early hours of the morning, starting from 16-20 July 2022.

"Thank God we were able to arrest as many as 6 people. 4 children (underage) and 2 adults," Zain told reporters at the Neglasari Police Station, Tangerang City, Monday, July 25.

Zain revealed the modus operandi of the perpetrators to go around looking for targets. When meeting his potential victim, the perpetrator threatened with a sharp weapon (sajam) type of sickle.

"The perpetrator's mode is to go around looking for the victim, if the victim is carrying a cellphone, then there aren't too many people, he is threatened with a machete. If the victim fights, he doesn't hesitate to kill the victim," he said.

Zain also tells. One of the victims, who was almost blind, was struck by a sickle by the perpetrator.

"The gang stabbed using a sickle, and it directly hit the victim's head in the eye. So the victim suffered damage to the eye and had the potential to go blind," he continued.

Armed with witness testimony and the crime scene (TKP), the police managed to find out the whereabouts of this sadistic gang of robbers and arrested a total of six perpetrators.

"They were arrested at their hangout location, in the Cengklong area, Kosambi, Teluknaga, Tangerang district. With details of the four perpetrators committing the crimes in Neglasari and two other perpetrators participating in the robbery in Teluknaga," Zain explained.

For his actions, the 6 perpetrators were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with violence with a threat of 9 years in prison.
