PRC Survey Simulation: Electability Of Ganjar-Sandiaga 44.8 Percent, Anies-AHY 32.4 Percent

JAKARTA - The Politics Research and Consulting Survey Institute (PRC) released the results of the electability survey for the presidential and vice presidential candidates for the period 2024-2029, with the results of the Ganjar Pranowo-Sandiaga Uno duo having an electability rate of 44.8 percent.

"The Ganjar-Sandi pair is number one in the simulation of this candidate pair. Anies Baswedan (Governor of DKI Jakarta) and AHY (General Chair of the Democratic Party) under him, got 32.4 percent, and Prabowo Subianto (Minister of Defense RI) and Cak Imin (Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI) with 13.8 percent," said PRC Executive Director Rio Prayogo in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 24.

Ganjar Pranowo is currently the Governor of Central Java, while Sandiaga S. Uno is the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. Both of these figures have been known to be active figures on social media.

Meanwhile, Rio continued, the simulation of the electability of the candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo juxtaposed with the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil also ranked the highest in the other simulation models. The electability of the Ganjar-RK candidate pair surpassed Anies-AHY and Prabowo-Airlangga (Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs).

"The pair Ganjar and Ridwan Kamil are far above Anies and AHY and Prabowo-Airlangga with 42.2 percent. Anies-AHY gets 33.1 percent and Prabowo-Airlangga 15.1 percent," he said.

In addition, the PRC survey also explains the level of satisfaction with the performance of President Joko Widodo or Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. As a result, as many as 62.8 percent of the public are satisfied with Jokowi's performance in the last 3 years.

"The respondents were asked 'After the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin administration has run for almost 3 years, are you satisfied with the performance of President Jokowi?'," said Rio.

The survey was conducted from June 12, 2022 to July 3, 2022, which was attended by 1,200 respondents throughout Indonesia through telephone interviews.

Sampling using a multi-stage random sampling method on the national population with a confidence level of 95 percent with a margin of error of 2.74 percent.
