Dozens Of Millions Clothes Thief Employees At Work Arrested By North Sumatra Police Asahan

MEDAN - Personnel from the Jatanras Unit of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Asahan Police arrested an employee of a department store on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Kisaran City, North Sumatra, who stole clothes at the shop where he worked.

Asahan Police Chief AKBP Putu Yudha Prawira through Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Mhd Said Husein said the perpetrator RR (24) was a department store employee with the position of fashion supervisor (fashion supervisor) at the department store.

Said said the perpetrators were arrested at his home on Jalan ST Ali Syahbana, Mutiara Village, East Kisaran City District, Asahan Regency.

From the results of the officer's examination, RR admitted to his actions and stole his shirt and pants where he worked on April 4, 2022.

"The modus operandi is that the perpetrator puts the stolen clothes in a plastic bag, then copies of the purchased items are hacked, then they are given to a woman to be taken out of the supermarket," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 24.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Department said that due to the employee's actions, the department store suffered a loss of around Rp. 15 million.

"Currently, the perpetrators are still being investigated further at the Asahan Police Criminal Investigation Unit," said Said.
