GRESIK - The Gresik Police have arrested four suspects in the case of a human-goat marriage that went viral. Including the inactive chairman of the Gresik DPRD Honorary Board (BK) from the NasDem Faction.

"The four suspects are being held at the Gresik Police Precinct," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gresik Police, Iptu Wahyu Rizki Saputro, in a written statement, Wednesday, July 20.

According to Wahyu, the four suspects were detained after undergoing examination on different days. The US and SA suspects were detained on Tuesday, July 12.

Then suspect S was arrested on Saturday, July 16. Meanwhile, the suspect NH (a member of the Gresik DPRD) was detained on Monday, July 18 yesterday.

"NH was detained after undergoing hours of questioning, from 10:00 to 16:00 WIB," he said.

According to Wahyu, the detention of the four suspects is evidence that the Gresik Police are working professionally in handling this case. In fact, the police also immediately put NH into custody at the Gresik Police.

"We work professionally according to applicable procedures. So there is no pressure or intervention from anywhere," he said.

The Gresik Police previously named four suspects for alleged blasphemy in the viral video of human marriage with sheep in Gresik. One of the suspects is a member of the Gresik DPRD, F-NasDem, who serves as Chairman of the Honorary Body (BK) of the Gresik DPRD.

The four suspects are Arif Syaifullah (AS) as the content owner, Syaiful Arif (SA) playing Satria Piningit, Sutrisna (S) playing the headmaster, and Nur Hudi (N) owner of the Ki Ageng Sacred Padepokan which is located in Jogodalu Village, Benjeng District, Gresik. .

As a result of his actions, the suspect AS was charged with Article 44a Paragraph (2) of the ITE Law Juncto Article 156a of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, the suspects SA, S, and NH were charged with Article 156a of the Criminal Code.
