The mayor, who is familiarly called Cak Eri Cahyadi, mentioned that he first arranged the city parks along Jalan Raya Darmo, starting from the front of the Al-Falah Mosque to the front of Bungkul Park.
After the successful construction of the park on Jalan Raya Darmo, Eri will implement it along Jalan Ahmad Yani.
"Later, we will try it out first, also add floodlights on Jalan Raya Darmo. So, when people pass into the city, they can enjoy the beauty of the roads, parks and nice pedestrians," said Eri.
For this reason, Mayor Eri asked the Head of the Surabaya Environment Service (DLH) Hebi Agus Djuniantoro to trim the trees along Jalan Raya Darmo so they don't look like a forest.
"The towering trees block the view and Bungkul Park across the street," he said.
