This Santri And Ulama Pray Together For Ade Yasin Who Was Charged With Bribing Rp1.9 Billion To BPK Employees For WTP

JAKARTA - The students, ulama, and the public at the Hidayatul Ikhwan Tenjo Islamic Boarding School, Bogor, held a joint prayer for the inactive Bogor Regent Ade Yasin.

"Alhamdulillah, those who attended were not only from Islamic boarding schools, but also from local community leaders in Tenjo District," said the Hidayatul Ikhwan Islamic Boarding School Leader KH Encep Arsyudin after the visit, Monday, July 18 evening, as reported by Antara.

The ulama and the people of Bogor hope that Ade Yasin, who is fighting for justice, can be free from charges in court and return to being active as regional head in Bogor Regency.

"This is a form of love from the clergy and the people of Bogor Regency to the figure of Ade Yasin, who has served as Bogor Regent for more than three years, many programs are beneficial to the community," he said.

This istigasah is to provide moral and spiritual support to Ade Yasin, who will undergo a second trial with an exception reading agenda on Wednesday, July 20 tomorrow.

KH Encep said that kiai and ulama saw their closeness to Ade Yasin as unquestionable. The emotional relationship with these religious leaders had even been built before Ade Yasin became the Regent of Bogor.

The inactive Bogor Regent Ade Yasin was charged by the Corruption Eradication Commission Prosecutors with giving bribes of Rp.

KPK prosecutor Budiman Abdul Karib said the bribes were given to four employees of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) who have also become suspects in the case.

"So it is seen as an act of continuing to give or promise something, namely giving money in the total amount of Rp. 1,935,000,000 to civil servants or state officials," said Budiman, last Wednesday, July 13.

The prosecutor alleges that the bribes were given in stages over the period from October 2021 to 2022. The bribes given ranged from Rp. 10 million to Rp. 100 million, based on the request of the KPK employee.

According to the Prosecutor, Ade prepared the money for the bribe together with his subordinates within the Bogor Regency Government. Among them are Ihsan Ayatullah as an official at the Bogor Regency Government BPKAD, Maulana Adam as the Secretary of the Bogor Regency PUPR Department, and Rizki Taufik Hidayat as the Commitment Making Officer at the Bogor Regency PUPR Service.

Prosecutors said the money that Ade Yasin and his men had collected came from a number of regional work units in the Bogor Regency Government.

"These include the PUPR Service, Health Office, Education Office, BAPPEDA, Ciawi Hospital, Cibinong Hospital and also from contractors working on projects within the Bogor Regency Government," he said.
