10 People Died In A Pertamina Fuel Truck Accident In Cibubur

CIBUBUR - Police confirmed that 10 people died as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on the Transyogi Alternative Highway Cibubur, Bekasi City, West Java, on Monday afternoon, July 18.

"Our victims are 'updated', because they are still dynamic. Previously, there were eight victims who died, but after we combed through several hospitals, there were 10 victims," said Director of Law Enforcement (Dirgakkum) Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Aan Suhanan, quoting Between, Monday, July 18th.

Aan added that the bodies of nine victims of the accident had been taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. Meanwhile, one victim who died was taken to Permata Cibubur Hospital.

"Then there were five injuries. If you look at the injuries, the average injuries were minor. Alhamdulillah, hopefully they will recover quickly," said Aan.

Aan said the accident occurred at around 15.55 WIB. According to eyewitness accounts, the accident occurred when the traffic light was red.

"The statement from the witness at that time was already red," said Aan.

He said the truck driver suspected of hitting the motorist had been secured at the Jatisampurna Police Station.

"The driver is secured at the Jatisampurna Police with his kernet. Our officers are processing the crime scene," said Aan.
