BMKG Estimates That The Waters Of The Malacca Strait Are Safe For Fishermen For The Next 3 Days

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of Malikussaleh Station in North Aceh stated that the waves of the waters of the Malacca Strait are safe for fishing and shipping activities.

The BMKG forecaster for the Malikussaleh Station in North Aceh, Kharendra Muiz, said the weather in the waters of the Malacca Strait in the eastern part of Aceh Province was forecasted to be cloudy for the next three days.

"The potential for sea waves on the east coast of Aceh, the waters of the Malacca Strait, for the next three days is monitored to be safe for fishing and shipping activities," said Kharendra in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, quoted from Antara, Monday, July 18.

Kharendra Muiz said that based on weather monitoring in the eastern part of Aceh Province, it tends to be sunny to sunny cloudy with temperatures between 30 to 32 degrees Celsius.

"Temperatures of up to 32 degrees Celsius are basically normal conditions during the dry season, but due to the lack of cloud cover, the weather is scorching hot throughout the day," said Kharendra.

Sunny to sunny cloudy weather occurred along the eastern coast of Aceh Province covering Bireuen Regency, North Aceh Regency, Lhokseumawe City, East Aceh Regency, Langsa City, and Aceh Tamiang Regency.

Meanwhile, some areas directly adjacent to the highlands, such as Bener Meriah and Central Aceh Regencies, have the potential for light to moderate rain in the afternoon.

With a temperature of 32 degrees Celsius, Kharendra Muiz asked the public to be more active indoors. Because, if outside it can cause dehydration or lack of body fluids.

"We also remind the public and corporations not to burn land because the temperature is monitored in the range of 30 to 32 degrees Celsius which can trigger hotspots and land fires," he said.
