Police Hunt Men In Chocolate Checkered Shirts Stabbing Appi-Rahman Sympathizers

JAKARTA - The police are still chasing the stabbing perpetrator MM (48), a supporter of the candidate pair for mayor of Makassar Munafri Arifuddin-Abdul Rahman Bando (Appi-Rahman). Based on the characteristics and testimony of the witnesses, the perpetrator wore a brown checkered shirt.

Originally, the stabbing took place at a bus stop in the Palmerah area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, November 7. The action was caught on CCTV cameras of a private television station building in Palmerah.

"So far we are still hunting. The perpetrator was caught on a CCTV camera so that the characteristics we find refer to the footage," said Head of Criminal Investigation of Tanah Abang Police, AKP Haris Ahmad to VOI, Sunday, November 8.

When referring to CCTV footage, the perpetrator was only one person. "The perpetrator wore a brown long plaid shirt," said Haris.

In addition, from the CCTV footage, it is also seen that after stabbing the victim the perpetrator immediately fled. He fled on a motorcycle with a colleague.

"The perpetrator immediately ran to his partner who was waiting on the motorbike. Then fled towards Slipi," he said.

The police also do not know the motive of the perpetrator, whether it is purely a criminal act or related to certain groups. "So far there has been no indication of targeting any groups."

MM was stabbed by an unknown person at a bus stop in the Palmerah area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, November 7. Currently the victim is undergoing treatment at Siloam Hospital, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.

Until now, there are four candidate pairs for mayor and deputy mayor of Makassar, namely pair number 1 Moh. Ramdhan Pomanto and Fatmawati Rusdi (Adama), candidate number 2 Munafri Arifuddin and Abd. Rahman Bando (Appi-Rahman), serial number 3 Syamsu Rizal and Fadli Ananda (Dilan) and serial number 4 Irman Yasin Limpo and Andi Zunnun Armin NH (Imun).
