JAKARTA - Mayor of Depok, Mohammad Idris invites cooperatives to grow and transform according to the times so that they are not left behind with digital technology.

"The current theme of cooperatives is very closely related to strengthening from the regulatory side, namely we have a mental revolution. Where we instill the mentality of our children, the cooperative mentality whose orientation is mutual cooperation and togetherness," said Mohammad Idris during the Depok City Cooperative Week event in 2022. in Depok, quoted from Antara, Saturday, July 16.

Idris said the theme chosen for the commemoration of Cooperative Day at the city level was Depok City Forward Together and Prosperous, which was in accordance with Depok City's vision of Advanced, Cultured, and Prosperous.

"Cultivated, including the culture of gotong royong, all lead to the welfare of the community," he explained.

Therefore, said Mohammad Idris, the transformation on this Cooperative Day, is not only in terms of regulations. But also through activities to build togetherness.

"Of course also how the activities that lead to the welfare of the members of the cooperative. Then, also participate in improving the welfare of the community. That is what we want," he said.
