Alleged Corruption In Land Procurement In Pulo Gebang Era Anies Baswedan Called KPK Loss To The State Of Up To Hundreds Of Billions

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the alleged corruption in land acquisition in Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta by the BUMD Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya caused state losses of up to hundreds of billions of rupiah. The alleged corruption occurred in 2018-2019.

"The number of state losses is still being calculated. For the time being, the number is hundreds of billions of rupiah," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Friday, July 14.

The KPK, continued Ali, ensured that the investigation into the alleged corruption would continue. This includes collecting information from witnesses.

As for the case, there were 22 people who were examined consisting of BPN employees, BUMD employees, the private sector and notaries.

"Of course we are still continuing to confirm and collect evidence from the statements of witnesses, which we continue to schedule for examination," he said.

The anti-corruption commission previously revealed that it was investigating allegations of corruption related to land acquisition. However, it has not been detailed who the suspect in the case that occurred during the leadership of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was.

Later, after the evidence held by the KPK is sufficient, the suspects will be announced. The public is asked to be patient and wait for the development of the case to be presented in a transparent manner.
