More Than 150 Times, These 5 Spare Tire Thieves Act On The Jakarta-Cirebon-Indramayu Toll Road, Targeting Trucks In The Rest Area

INDRAMAYU - Indramayu Police Chief, West Java Regional Police, AKBP Lukman Syarif said that the thief who specializes in truck spare tires always operates on toll roads. The perpetrator targeted the truck which was resting in a rest area.

"These thieves targeted the spare tire of a truck resting on the toll road," said Lukman in Indramayu, Antara, Friday, July 15.

According to him, the thieves targeted vehicles that were parked at the toll road rest area, because their operations were in the vicinity of the area. In fact, said Lukman, they have acted more than 150 times along the Jakarta toll road to Cirebon, and in Indramayu more than 10 times.

"For their operation on the toll road. Meanwhile, there has been no report on the Pantura Line so far," he said.

Lukman said that the gang of thieves did not hesitate to injure their victims when they resisted or caught sight of their actions.

The gang of five people already had their respective roles, some were supervising the location, taking the spare tire and also waiting in the vehicle.

Every time they act, said Lukman, the gang can crush two to four truck tires, and they commit crimes almost every day.

"From their confession, it only took five minutes to get the spare tire," he said.

The five suspects with the initials IM (39), FS (41), DM (45), LP (28), and DS (19) are residents of Karawang Regency. They face a maximum imprisonment of seven years.
