TANGERANG - One unit of rented house in Babakan Village, RT/RW, 01/07, Bojong Nangka Village, Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency, Banten was destroyed by an exploding gas cylinder.

In addition to one house destroyed, four occupants of the house suffered burns. "The four victims have all been taken to the hospital. Their identities are not yet known because the person concerned has not reported to the RT management," said the head of the local RT, Aldo, in Tangerang as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 14.

According to him, the explosion started when the wife of the owner of the house was about to turn on the stove to cook. However, not long after when the stove was lit suddenly there was a big explosion.

"When the owner of the house opened the door, there was a smell of gas. Then his wife was about to turn on the stove when it suddenly exploded," he said.

The impact of the explosion was quite large, causing parts of the walls and roof of the house to bounce a few meters from the scene. "The roof of his house bounced off a few meters," he said.

Kelapa Dua Police have put up a number of police lines around the house.

"Currently it is still being handled by the Kelapa Dua Police," he said.
