Bali Deputy Governor Inaugurates Jaba Side Of Ulun Ranu Pane Temple Lumajang

LUMAJANG - Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Ardhana Sukawati together with the Regent of Lumajang, Thoriqul Haq inaugurated Jaba Sisi Temple of Ulun Ranu Pane to attract domestic and foreign tourists in Lumajang Regency, East Java.

"Thank you, the Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Ardhana Sukawati and his staff for being here. This is a tribute to us, we really feel the sense of brotherhood of the Balinese people here," said the Regent of Lumajang, who is usually called Cak Thoriq, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 14.

According to him, the restoration of Ulun Ranu Pane Temple is part of the efforts of the Lumajang Regency Government to make Ranupani a tourism gateway in Lumajang.

"I hope that in the future it can become a destination for travelers, especially domestic tourists from Bali to travel and worship at the temple," he said.

Cak Thoriq hopes that relatives and family in Bali will also worship as well as travel at Ulun Ranu Pane Temple which will have a very positive impact on the economy in Lumajang Regency.

Previously, Cok Ace, the familiar greeting of the Deputy Governor of Bali and Hindus from Bali, had the opportunity to carry out piodalan at the Mandara Giri Semeru Agung Temple, in Senduro District, Lumajang Regency.

Prior to the inauguration, Cok Ace who came with the Regent and Deputy Regent of Karangasem and the ranks of the Bali Provincial Government also carried out the Melaspas Jaba Sisi ceremony of Ulun Ranu Pane Temple which was a ceremony to purify the new building.

"That the inauguration of Jaba Sisi Temple of Ulun Ranu Pane is a symbol of the friendship of the Balinese people with Lumajang. We maintain good relations between the Balinese people and Lumajang, that's what we must maintain for harmony," he said.

The Piodalan ceremony at the Mandara Giri Semeru Agung Temple in Senduro District, Lumajang Regency will be held on 11 - 24 July 2022 and is open to the general public.

Pidolan is an annual ceremony held by Hindus to commemorate the anniversary of a place of worship and to strengthen the relationship between Hindus in Java and Bali.
