Land Measurement Phase II In Wadas Purworejo, Village Head Says Residents Who Used To Refuse Even Ask To Be Measured

JAVA - The implementation of land plot measurements, inventory and identification of growing plants and buildings in Wadas Village, Bener, Purworejo Regency, Central Java went smoothly.

"We express our appreciation to all parties who support the smooth measurement of land parcels, inventory and identification of growing plants and buildings in Wadas Village," said Wadas Village Head Fachri Setyanto in Purworejo, Antara, Thursday, July 14.

The activity was carried out by the Land Procurement Committee (P2T) for the Bener Dam Project, Purworejo Regency in Wadas as a village affected by the development of the national strategic project.

Fachri said that this activity was a continuation of similar activities that were carried out before last Lebaran.

Several hundred plots of land in Wadas Village are planned to be used as a quarry for the construction of the Bener Dam national strategic project, which is located not far from the village.

He rejects the notion that the second phase of the measurement that is currently being carried out creates tension among the residents. Wadas situation so far is very conducive and the process is running smoothly.

"Even residents who initially refused, now ask for their land to be measured. All voluntarily. It's not true to say there was pressure from thugs and so on," he also said.

He invited all parties to observe the current situation of Wadas directly.

"Basically, the residents of our village are fine. They are farmers and cultivators who have never had problems since before, before the arrival of outside parties," he said again.

The staff of the National Land Agency (BPN) of Purworejo Tukiran confirmed that the inventory and land measurement, planting and building activities in Wadas were running smoothly.

He confirmed the increase in the amount of land measured from the original plan.

"The schedule of activities is July 12-15, 2022. There is an expansion from the original target. Until Wednesday (13/7), the measurement target is 105, but it has increased to 144 fields," he said.

According to him, this was because a resident suddenly came to the measuring team and asked for the land to be measured. Finally, officers in the field could not help but measure the residents' land.

"Administrative matters will be taken care of later. The most important thing is that we follow their wishes first," he said.

Based on this information, the results of the measurement, inventory and identification will be finalized soon. It is planned that compensation payments to residents will be carried out in the next three months.

Regarding the security of measurement, inventory and identification activities at Wadas, Purworejo Police Chief AKBP Fahrurozi said his party was alerting personnel at the request of the Serayu Opak River Basin Center (BBWSO).

"Security is carried out by the police and assisted by the TNI. Meanwhile, the division of inventory and identification tasks is divided into five teams, each team consists of 14 people consisting of 2 measuring people (BPN), 2 building people (PUPR), 4 planting and growing people (Agriculture Department), 2 police officers, and 4 assistants from Wadas residents," said the police chief in a written statement.

Fahrurozi rejected the notion that the inventory and measurement activities were colored by intimidation and tension.

"Everything is not true. We communicated the security to all parties, including the group that initially refused. All activities went smoothly and I thank you for your support," he also said.
