Investigate Cases Of Alleged Obscenity Of Members Of DPR, Polri: The Reporter Hasn't Come Yet

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has begun to investigate a case of alleged sexual abuse involving an individual member of the DPR with the initials DK. The reporting party or victim is scheduled to provide information today.

"Currently, investigators have invited the reporter to clarify according to today's schedule," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Nurul Azizah to reporters, Thursday, July 14.

However, the reporting party in the alleged molestation case has not yet fulfilled the call for clarification.

Therefore, the investigation team is still waiting for his arrival. However, Nurul could not confirm whether the reporter would fulfill the call or not.

"The reporter has not come for clarification," said Nurul.

The member of the DPR with the initials D was previously reported to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The report relates to allegations of obscenity in three locations, namely, Jakarta, Semarang, and Lamongan. The report is registered with the number LI/35/VI/2022/Subdit V, dated June 15, 2022. In this case, it is suspected that there was a criminal act of obscenity as regulated in Article 289 of the Criminal Code.
