Charta Politica Survey: Prabowo Wins In West Java Defeats Ridwan Kamil

JAKARTA - The electability of the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, is still at the top rank as a presidential candidate (candidate) in 2024 in West Java. In fact, Prabowo is still superior to beat Ridwan Kamil who is the Governor of West Java. These results are captured from the Charta Politica Indonesia survey conducted in West Java in June 2022.

"In terms of the electability of presidential candidates, Prabowo Subianto gets the highest choice. Followed by Anies Baswedan, Ridwan Kamil, and Ganjar Pranowo," said Executive Director of Charta Politika, Yunarto Wijaya in survey results distributed to journalists, Thursday, July 14.

The results of the Charta Politica survey in West Java, namely Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto in first place with 26.9 percent electability, second place for DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at 22.0 percent. In third place, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil with an electability of 19.5 percent.

Meanwhile, in fourth place was the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo with an electability of 15.2 percent, followed by the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) with 2.9 percent, and the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno with 2.3. percent. Meanwhile, the seventh rank was filled by the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, at 1.8 percent, the eight SOE Minister Erick Thohir at 1.3 percent, and the ninth DPR Chair Puan Maharani at 0.7 percent.

Not only in West Java, this survey was also conducted simultaneously in Central Java and East Java on June 24-30, 2022 with a total sample of 1,200 respondents per province and a margin of error (MoE) of ± 2.83 percent.

The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire with a strict health protocol using a multistage random sampling method at a 95 percent confidence level.
