"The entrance to the residential construction site must still be cleared, this is currently being done," said the Head of the South Minahasa Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Thorie R Joseph in Manado as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 13.
In addition to land acquisition, administrative processes related to land grants are also being carried out temporarily.
"The land was granted by Deputy Governor Steven Kandouw, the area is about five hectares," he said.
He added that for the land that was donated, he said, the area to be utilized was three hectares.
"So, of the total area of five hectares, not all of them are utilized, only about one hectare," he said.
On the land where permanent housing will be built, 116 housing units are planned to be built.
"In the future, if it will be occupied, we will verify again the residents who will occupy it," he said.
As previously reported, on Wednesday (15/6), abrasion hit the coast of Amurang, residents of Uwuran Satu and Bitung Villages were evacuated after their houses were destroyed.
