JAKARTA - The police said that the Head of PTSL Adjudication (Complete Systematic Land Registration Program) of the National Land Agency (BPN) with the initials PS was involved in the land mafia case. He is said to have issued a deed or certificate that did not comply with the procedure.

"This BPN person issues a certificate on behalf of the applicant who is not entitled to it through the PTSL program," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan in his statement, Wednesday, July 13.

This BPN official also charged fees for the issuance of the certificate. In fact, PTSL is a land certificate program that does not charge any fees or is free.

This is because this program aims to speed up the process of making certificates because there are still many people who do not have legality or certificates for their land or buildings.

"This PTSL program should be free, but this person is suspected of receiving some money," said Zulpan.

"Then issue a certificate from the applicant which is not his right and is carried out without the correct procedure," he continued.

Apart from PS, the police have arrested and named three other suspects. There are a total of four suspects in this case.

Specifically for the suspect PS, he was arrested in the Depok area, West Java. The arrests made by the Sub-Directorate of Property (Harda) team took place on Tuesday, July 12, evening.
