Jokowi Immediately Proposes Candidates For Substitute Deputy Chair Of The KPK Lili Pintauli

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the position of Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) left by Lili Pintauli Siregar was still ongoing. This position is vacant because Lili resigned from her position.

Lili's resignation was carried out when the KPK Supervisory Board investigated the alleged ethical violation she had committed. He allegedly received accommodation and tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP from PT Pertamina (Persero).

"The replacement for Mrs. Lili Pintauli is still in process," said Jokowi in the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, Tuesday, July 12.

He asked all parties to be patient waiting for Lili's replacement. Meanwhile, the signing of the dismissal decision was only made on Monday, July 11 yesterday.

"I just signed the dismissal letter last week and it's still in the process of being replaced," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.

"We will immediately propose (his replacement, ed) to the DPR. As soon as possible," continued Jokowi.

Meanwhile, when asked why Lili resigned from her position, Jokowi did not respond. He kept silent about the contents of the resignation letter.

Previously reported, Lili Pintauli was reported to the KPK Supervisory Board for allegedly receiving accommodation and Mandalika MotoGP tickets from PT Pertamina (Persero). In carrying out the investigation, Tumpak et al have asked for information from various parties, including the President Director of PT Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati.

However, this trial was declared void because the former Deputy Chairperson of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) resigned from his position. The KPK Council reasoned that Lili was no longer a member of the KPK.

The resignation letter was submitted on June 30 to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). After accepting Lili's resignation, Jokowi then issued Presidential Decree No. 71/P/2022 concerning the Dismissal of the KPK Leaders.
